The Rotary Club of Kandy is at the forefront of a groundbreaking initiative to combat oral cancer across Sri Lanka. With a comprehensive project costing Rs. 6.5 million, we have launched an island-wide campaign that includes 27 outreach camps and 25 school awareness sessions. Our efforts extend to training village health workers and estate medical assistants, ensuring that knowledge and preventive measures reach every corner of the nation. Complementing these efforts is a bilingual TV information campaign, spreading vital information to a broad audience. The project also encompasses the provision of essential medical equipment, fortifying our commitment to early detection and treatment of oral cancer. Together, we are making strides towards a healthier future for all.
